About Finasteride

Finasteride is used to treat symptoms of benign prostatic hypertrophy (BPH), such as frequent and difficult urination. Besides this, it is also used to treat male pattern hair loss.

Hi all,

Ive been on Finasteride for 5 years now. It's been a game-changer. I started on 5mg of it before I tried Propecia for hair loss, and it worked just fine. After starting it, it started to take effect, and then it stopped. My hair loss has improved greatly. The only thing that i can think of is that Propecia has come out on top of the game, but it may have something to do with it. I don't think there is a difference in the speed of it, but i can tell it has made my hair much stronger. I don't want to be a whiz. If I don't have any hair problems now that i have Finasteride, i'll never get the 5mg. And I don't want to be the last to lose it.

Regards

Dr. Johannes

Thank you so much for the info, Doctor. Ive been using Finasteride for 5 years and have been getting the 5mg for my hair loss. I am now in a state of no improvement and it has worked for me. Ive noticed that i dont have any hair loss in me after starting Finasteride and it has made my hair a little more strong and fuller. It has been the best Ive ever had and my hair is growing at the fastest rate Ive ever seen. I am looking for some tips on how to start with Finasteride and the right dose for me to get a good result. Thanks again,

Hi

i have been trying to get a 5 mg Finasteride every once in a while for the longest time, and i have noticed that i have no hair at all. it's been 5 years since i started finasteride. and my hair growth is not as bad. the only thing i noticed is i dont see much hair growth at all. i just see a thin line. when i go to take a shower, i notice some hair growth on my face and neck. i think the thin line is going to make my hair shorter and thin. so i dont want to take a chance and see what happens. so i will be trying to start taking a 5mg finasteride and see what happens

Thanks for your help, Doctor. Ive noticed that i dont have any hair at all. I have hair loss in the first 6 months after starting Finasteride. So i decided to start it over 3 months. I started on finasteride 5mg, and then started on 5mg and had no problems at all. My hair has been growing at a steady rate for the past few years, and it seems to grow back in the 5 months after starting finasteride. However, my hair loss has also been in the last 6 months. I have tried everything possible to try and see how that goes, and Ive been able to see a slight difference in my hair at the start. However, i feel that it has probably made my hair grow a bit shorter again, so i will be taking Finasteride a little longer before getting back to normal. If this doesn't work, i will make a call and see what happens. Thanks for all the help!
